چکیده

The processes at the interface between ionic liquids (ILs) and metals are a key factor for understanding especially in electrochemical deposition, nanoscale tribology applications batteries. In present work, interfaces of 1-butyl-1-methylpyrrolidinium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide ([Py1,4]TFSI) 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium ([EMIm]TFSI) platinum aluminum were investigated by depositing thin IL films studying them with X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) ultrahigh vacuum. It is found that there no evidence decomposition reaction either on platinum; however, imidazolium cation [EMIm]TFSI shows strong interaction surface monolayer regime. contrast, [Py1,4]TFSI show massive without applying any potential. spectra [TFSI]− anion components cleavage C-F or N-S bonds both cases. Both single fluorine atom complete observed, leading to further reactions anion. Consequently, new such as AlOOH, Al(OH)3, Al2S3, Al2(SO4)3 AlF3 appear interface. addition, also splitting off hydrogen atoms parts alkyl chain ILs.

Conductometric Analysis of some Ionic Liquids, 1-Alkyl-3-methylimidazolium Bromide with Aspirin in Acetonitrile Solutions

In recent years, ionic liquids have been used in pharmaceutical processes. Therefore, having a deep insight into the ion association behavior of ionic liquids in the presence of a drug is of particular importance. So, in this work, the molar conductivities of the ionic liquids, 1-alkyl-3-methylimidazolium bromide, [CnMIm]Br (n = 4, 6 and 8) in various concentrations of aspirin (ASA) ...

Impact of two ionic liquids, 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium acetate and 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium methylphosphonate, on Saccharomyces cerevisiae: metabolic, physiologic, and morphological investigations

BACKGROUND Ionic liquids (ILs) are considered as suitable candidates for lignocellulosic biomass pretreatment prior enzymatic saccharification and, obviously, for second-generation bioethanol production. However, several reports showed toxic or inhibitory effects of residual ILs on microorganisms, plants, and animal cells which could affect a subsequent enzymatic saccharification and fermentati...

Phase Behaviour and FTIR Spectra of Ionic Liquids: The Mixtures of 1-Butyl-1-methylpyrrolidinium Chloride and TaCl5

A series of ionic liquids consisting of 1-butyl-1-methylpyrrolidinium chloride (Pyr14Cl) and TaCl5 at molar ratios of Pyr14Cl in the range of 0.85 – 0.20 was synthesized. They exhibit potential application as electrolytes for the electrochemical deposition of tantalum. The thermal behaviour of the Pyr14Cl-TaCl5 mixtures was investigated, using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) to estimate...
